Body massage dates to 3000 BC where it was considered a form of natural healing. It was designed to practice healing, prevent, and cure illnesses and relieve pain.

Body massage is a treatment that uses physical contact to increase flexibility, provide relaxation and target tense muscles. This is carried out by uses different movements such as effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, friction and vibrations. A full body massage usually last around 75 minutes and back massages usually lasts around 50 minutes, however this varies from salon to salon.
